General Information

Arrival and Preparation

  1. Arrival:

    • Arrive at the venue by 10:45 AM to check in and prepare for your shift.

  2. Equipment Check:

    • Ensure your camera/phone is fully charged and has sufficient storage space.

    • Bring any additional equipment (e.g., tripod, extra batteries, lighting).

  3. Briefing:

    • Meet with the Coordinator for a quick briefing on key areas and activities to prioritize during your shift.

    • Review the event schedule and identify the highlights to capture.

Photography Responsibilities

During your shift, focus on capturing the following key moments and areas:

11:00 AM - 🎉 Opening & Buffet Launch

  1. Opening Ceremony:

    • Capture wide-angle shots of the venue and crowd as the event begins.

    • Photograph the opening remarks and any special announcements.

    • Highlight the energy and excitement of the attendees.

  2. Lumpia Buffet Launch:

    • Take photos of the buffet setup, including close-ups of the food presentation.

    • Capture attendees enjoying the buffet throughout the day (candid shots).

  3. Introduction of Special Guests, Speakers, and Board Members:

    • Take individual and group shots of special guests, speakers, and board members during their introductions.

    • Focus on their interactions with the audience.

11:15 AM – City Proclamation "National Lumpia Day"

  1. City Representative Delivering the Proclamation:

    • Photograph the city representative delivering the proclamation.

    • Capture the audience's reactions and engagement.

  2. Acknowledgement of the Event’s Significance:

    • Take shots of any signage or visual elements that highlight the importance of National Lumpia Day.

    • Include moments where speakers discuss the cultural and community impact.

11:30 AM – Group Photos

  1. First Shot: City Officials and PACC-GSA Board Members:

    • Organize a group photo featuring all city officials and PACC-GSA Board members together.

    • Ensure everyone is positioned clearly and visibly in the frame.

    • Take multiple shots to ensure quality.

  2. Second Shot: Special Guests, Volunteers, and Attendees:

1:00 PM - 🥢 Lumpia Rolling Competition

  1. Participant Check-In and Setup:

    • Capture photos of participants signing in and preparing their stations.

  2. Competition Rules Briefing:

    • Photograph the Coordinator or Judge explaining the rules to the participants.

  3. Rolling Competition Begins:

    • Take action shots of participants rolling lumpia.

    • Focus on the speed and technique of the competitors.

  4. Judging and Scoring:

    • Capture judges evaluating the rolled lumpia and taking notes.

    • Highlight any moments of excitement or tension during the judging process.

2:00 PM - 🍽️ Lumpia Eating Competition

  1. Contestant Registration and Safety Briefing:

    • Photograph participants signing up and receiving safety instructions.

  2. Competition Setup:

    • Take shots of the eating contest setup, including plates of lumpia and the competition table.

  3. Eating Contest Begins:

    • Capture action shots of contestants eating lumpia as quickly as possible.

Critical Note: Collect Photos Before Shift Ends

It is crucial to collect all photos before the photographer leaves their shift, as these will be used for the press release to be published the next day.

Photo Transfer Options:

  1. Lend Memory Cards:

    • Provide photographers with memory cards to use during their shift.

    • Ensure the cards are returned at the end of the shift.

  2. Copy to Google Drive:

    • Have the photographer transfer all photos to the shared Google Drive folder before leaving.

    • Provide assistance if needed to ensure all files are uploaded.

Shift Handover (3:00 PM):

  1. Wrap-Up:

    • At the end of your shift, ensure all photos are backed up to the designated storage.

    • Brief the next photographer (2nd shift) on any ongoing activities or key moments to capture.

  2. Sign-Out:

    • Notify the Coordinator that your shift is complete.
